TEHRAN - Iranian Agriculture Minister Mahmoud Hojjati won a vote of confidence in an impeachment session in the parliament on Wednesday.

Hojjati secured 117 votes out of 229 MPs present in the parliament in favor, 105 against and 7 abstentions.

Several cabinet members, including First Vice President Es’haq Jahangiri, accompanied Hojjati during the hearing at the legislature.

The transport and labor ministers also succeeded to win a vote of confidence in an impeachment session in the parliament on Tuesday.
